Each dosha carries<br \/>\nits own set of characteristics \u2014 physical traits like shape or size as well as psychological<br \/>\nattributes such as temperaments or patterns of behavior \u2014 which can be used to identify<br \/>\nan individual\u2019s dominant dosha type.<\/p>\n<p>Vata &#8211; Vata energy is characterized by lightness and movement; it governs creativity and flexibility. People with predominantly Vata characteristics tend to have thin frames with dry skin; they are creative thinkers who are easily distracted.<\/p>\n<p>Eating for Vata: To keep Vata balanced, eat warm foods that are easy digest; focus on<br \/>\ncooked vegetables rather than raw ones; choose sweet fruits over sour ones; opt for<br \/>\nwarm spices like turmeric rather than pungent ones like black pepper; consume small<br \/>\namounts of nut butter s regularly; avoid caffeine alcohol processed foods.<\/p>\n<p>Pitta &#8211; Pitta energy is energetic and passionate; it governs digestion and metabolism.<br \/>\nPeople with predominantly Pitta characteristics tend to have strong builds with oily skin;<br \/>\nthey are competitive thinkers who can be quick-tempered if pushed too far.<\/p>\n<p>Eating for Pitta: To keep Pitta balanced, choose cooling foods such as cucumbers<br \/>\nlettuce; opt for sweet fruits such as apples bananas over sour citrus fruits; use spices such<br \/>\nas ginger cumin rather than hot spicy ones like cayenne pepper; avoid fried foods acidic beverages excessive amounts oils dairy products.<\/p>\n<p>Kapha &#8211; Kapha energy is calm but powerful; it governs structure and stability.
